My mom with the quilt I made her for Christmas. I think she liked it. It was my first quilt, and I was pretty proud of it. Its super soft and warm as it is made out of flannel.

Here is a Christmas card that I made, that I really like. The top picture is the outside, and the bottom is the inside.. I wish I could've made more of this, but I ran out of the snowman paper. I am really trying to do more on the "inside" of the card too, so its special. What do ya think?

Another one of my Christmas cards I made. This one I used the cricut for, I used the wording from winter woodland. I also was digging around, and found my stampin up wheels. It has been FOREVER since I used them, so I found me a christmas one, and voila... a patterned background. What do ya think.. more to come in the next couple days... stay tuned ;)
Today was a "Play day" for me. I worked on my Christmas cards ALL day so far. The country music awards are on tonite, so I plan on staying in my stamp room all afternoon working on stuff, all the way through the awards. I hope I get alot done. I made a few of each sample that I am going to show. I wish I could do the "mass-producing" all of one card, but I just did 4 of each.

I finally got the vintage picnic set. Love it!! I colored it with both copics, and prisma pencils. I pierced all around the edge of the die. I also used the bakers twine, LOVE that stuff. More to come.....

Here is a picture of our "Spook House" from last night. We got this little "playhouse" this summer, it is built out of logs, inside and out. A girl I work with was going to give it away. I couldn't wait to get it! What really sold me on it, was the covered porch. I have always wanted a covered porch, and now I have it on our playhouse. We had a fun time last night, I will post more pictures soon...

What more can I say, other than "ADORABLE".. Petey-dog is the best dog ever!
As I was going through some pictures on my computer, I ran across this one, and wanted to share it with you all. This was taken in our neighbor and dear friends driveway!!! A mom and two of her cubs, and there were 2 other cubs that ducked into the corn before the picture could be snapped. Isn't this amazing? I hope she doens't get mad that I am sharing this picture on the web, but I just wanted to share it. It is one of my favorite pictures.
I know this isn't a papercrafting project, but it is one of my projects for halloween. I LOVE halloween, and LOVE decorating for it. This summer we acquired a "playhouse" that is a little log cabin. I will post pics of that soon too, but for now, our playhouse is going to be a spook house, and this lil guy is sitting in his rocking chair under the covered porch part of the playhouse. We got all kinds of lights hooked up inside and outside, and it will be really neat looking for halloween. I just hope its not supercold out that night so we can enjoy a nice backyard fire enjoying the outside lights. So anyway, this is "Jack Wagon" after that geico commercial. What do ya think?

Halloween is probably my favorite holiday, I LOVE decorating for it, and love making cards for it. More to come in the next few days.. stay tuned, and spread the word so I can get more followers...c

More cricut fun. This guy I didn't emboss at all, but I did pop-dot him and that was it. Added the googly eyes for fun, but wasn't sure what to do with it to make it "pop".. Wish Donna Mundinger could help me out!! So, I ended up just outlining his features with marker. I will hide this for the boyfriend when he gets home from work tonite.
Another attempt at playing with my cricut. This card I am sending to my Mom. She loves dogs. I pop-dotted this one too, (can't tell though). Used the stampin up embossing folder on his top layer. Fun to make. I hope she likes it.
I have been playing with my cricut lately. (I think I just needed some inspiration and got it). This was fun to make as he kinda looks like my dog. I am a huge fan of Donna Mundinger's work (popsicle toes), she inspires me to keep playing. I can NOT figure out how she welds some cuts together. I wish we lived closer and she could come on over and help me out. :) But anyway, until I get that figured out, I will keep playing and just put them on regular shaped cards for now. I pop-dotted this lil guy 3 times, although you can't tell in thepicture. And ran the top layer through a stampin up embossing folder. TUrned out kinda cute.. what do ya think?

Just thought this was a pretty rainbow, so snapped a picture of it. I havne't taken a picture of rainbow in years.. MANY years.
This is from my new animal kingdom cricut cartridge. I can't remember the gals name that made a card like this, but her chalking amazed me!! So... I had to try. I forgot that I gave my chalks away, so I had to improvise with PTI's snow white ink and a q-tip. It turned out okay, but not as good as the other gals, man.. hers was AMAZING!!!! I ended up making 4 of these, trying to mass produce, thats why I left a sentiment off the front, will stamp something as I need it.. (birthday, thank you, whatever it may be). I have to learn more how to mass-produce cards, my stash is waaaaay too low.

Halloween

I wanted to ink up a few stamps that I haven't used before, and this was one of them. I fell in love with this lil guy when I seen him on wild sprinkles blog. Adorable right? Anyway, just made up a quick card with the lil guy. Isn't halloween the best holiday. I have so many adorable halloween stamps, I have to find more people to send cards too. Enjoy

Here is another recipe card. This one I used a new cuttlebug embossing folder for the background. I think the cuttlebug with the folders is my absolute FAVE tool to use! Last count I had "40" folders. Oh My Gosh!!! When does it end????? ANyway, these recipes are really fun to make, and I have to get on the ball and get more done to share with all of you. Please keep the comments coming, I always enjoy reading what you think...

Here is another recipe card I made. These are really fun to make, kind of time-consuming, but I think it will be worth it when I can have a whole cookbook full of these goodies. The stamp is an older one from TAC, I thought it would be perfect for this chicken casserole recipe. Fun to make, more to come. Spread the word to follow my blog, I might have a give-away coming up, but need more followers...

Here is another recipe card. I am really loving the looks of these. I am just afraid of running out of ideas, as they are pretty small. I am making them 4x6. (NOT alot of room for embellishments). I love this riley stamp! I colored it with copics. I edged the card with pti's tea stain ink. Thanks Michelle Wooderson for the inspiration on doing these cards.
Here is another shot of the little book attached to the front of the card. TOO fun to make!!!
This was SO fun to make.. All the stamps and dies are from Papertrey Ink. One of the designers for pti, made a little booklet out of the spiral notebook die, so I copied her idea. I love making these little "books" to go on the front of a card. I intertwined the new thread from them as well to bind it together, I have 5 pages total. I tucked it into the library card holder that I embossed with a new folder as well. It was so fun to make. I love the ticket die and the matching stamp set for it. SO many possibilities. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!
I have seen so many neat recipe cards done up, I thought it was my turn to try. I am a huge fan of michelle wooderson's blog, and also Tracy Harp's blog. "THEY" are the reason I wanted to do up my recipes. It is quite a job, but when I get all my 'fave' recipes done up all nice and cute like this, I think I will love it!! I also used my cricut on this one cutting the soup pot. The saying stamped under it is from There she goes rubber stamps, it says, "The last time I cooked this hardly anyone got sick?'... TOO FUNNY.... More recipes to follow... let me know what ya think

A quick fun card. I am still struggling to get myself organized in my new room. Yes, it is all put away, but it is hard to get used to where things are, when I could grab for something with my eyes closed in my last room. But, this will work, just takes time. You can't tell but the main image is pop-dotted off, for a bit of depth. The new max and whiskers line of paper was used. I LOVE that stuff!!!! More to come......
Okay, so my mom and me went shopping, and I saw this super-duper cute pattern at one of her quilt stores. How hard can it be right????? I love the moda line of fabrics, so of course instead of buying "one" charm pack, I had to buy two! We'll see how hard it is to make this. I am hoping I can do it. My mom is the best quilter I know. Her work is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! She can pick out great colors and match them up perfect!!! I hope the apple didn't fall far from the tree with that.. we'll see.. stay posted.

This is another card I made using my good friend Nancy's line of stamps. She is so talented!!! I like the way it turned out using the cuttlebug folders too. Thanks Nance!
Caught this lil critter heading to the bird feeder.... I love the expression on his lil face.. he just looks plain guilty!! Loving my new camera. More to come again soon....

My room is done!!! This is like the 3rd or 4th time I have redone my room. I think I have been in just about every room in the house, but this is now "home" for my stamping room! I love it too. I bought an 8 foot countertop for a work surface and loving it!! I also bought the cabinets unfinsihed and painted them myself, along with putting the drawer pulls on myself. I made the curtains, put together the bookcase. It was a long project, but I am very pleased with theresults. THis fall I want to get a nice flat screen tv to hang from the wall, so that will free up more counter space yet!! Let me know what ya think....

Playing around with my cricut.. I made this for my dogs bed. I think it turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself. Pete sure likes it :)

June 20, 2010

My peonies are looking kind of rough, like they have had better days. They are all dropped to the ground. I'm not sure if it is because of all the rain we have been getting or if it because they are all so top heavy. I need to split these plants and transplant them elsewhere because they are so big. Believe it or not, this is only 2 plants!! They smell so pretty though!!

the first fawn of the year

I saw this and was so glad I had my iphone with me. Its fur was still wet, and when it got up to leave, it was very shakey and wobbly.

Valentines

THis was another one of my many purchases yesterday. I fell in love with these two little love birds (love owls). A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!! The owls are new from stampendous (I think), the wild for you stamp was from the Michaels dollar bin, and shiny little doo-dads in the bottom right corner. I colored with copics, I need more practice with coloring though. Not sure what I am doing wrong, but have fun trying to figure it out :)

More to come...

Valentines

Yesterday a dear friend of mine and I went on a stampin/scrappin shopping spree. We were well overdue! I went a little crazy in Archivers. I fell in love with this stamp from Heroarts. Isn't it just the cutest thing ever???? I embossed the cupcake wrapper with fine white embossing powder (thanks to boyfriends mom who gave me a TON of different colors of embossing powders). Then I added stickles to the sprinkles on the cake part, and there are shiny little doo-dads on the bottom of the cake. I like the way it turned out.. stay tuned more to come from my trip...

Greetings from the U.P.
