I LOVE this set, and was sad to see it retire. I think this is one of my most favorite cards I have made. I think for me to "like" my own cards, I need to use lots of layers and embellishments. I used the old designer stampin up paper from last years holiday collection, the new photo corner punch (which I don't know why I waited so long to buy, I LOVE it!).. and my newest favorite find "PRIMA FLOWERS"... used a brad in one and dew drop in the other. I am really pleased with how this card turned out. I think I may be making a few more of these for this years Christmas cards... Time to go play....
I thought I would try making a scenic card with my watercolor minis. I used them for the top part of the tree, and hand-drew the tree trunk. The grass and giraffe stamps are from Stamps By Judith. I love that little giraffe. The 'whats up', is from a set from amuse. I dont' think it turned out too bad for first time doing the scenic scene. It will take some practice, but its SO fun to play.
This little "Riley" has got to be one of my favorite stamps. I can say that I own a "few" of him. I love using the cuttlebug embossing folders too. (I have a "FEW" of them as well)... Anyways... this was fun to make, the merry christmas tag I got a Joannes a few years back, I also pop-dotted the tree. Not sure if you can tell or not tho. I used my prisma pencils and gamsol to color him in.
